A short, fully lined princess jacket with notched collar, it can be made with frayed or finished edges with optional pockets, pocket flaps, and back band. Fat quarter version can be finished to be reversible.

FRAYED/TAILORED JACKET
3¼ yds. (44” wide) or 2½ yds. (60” wide) fabric
1½ yds. (sz. 4-10) or 2¼ yds. (sz. 12-22) lining
3 – ¾” buttons (jacket front)

FAT QUARTER JACKET (44” wide fabric)
8 fat quarters fabric
3¼ yds coordinating fabric (lining andsleeves)
3 – ¾” buttons thread

OPTIONAL
2 yards thin cotton batting (interlining)
7-½" buttons (pocket flaps and back detail)


Suitable Fabrics

We used cotton for the frayed fat quarter jacket on the front cover. (Moda Fabrics-Seaside Rose.) Cotton twill was used for the front cover inset photo and eyelash fabric for the back inset photo. (Michael Miller Fabrics-Mimi.) Linen, corduroy, tweed, wool and other woven fabrics would work as well.
