Hip Skirts

A simple, pull on skirt, with bias waistband that fits on the hips and has 3 different versions: Four panel full circle skirt with option to make it double layered, an A line button skirt and ten panel pleated skirt. All versions have the option of belt and belt loops.

2 2/3 yard fabric (skirt)
2/3 yard fabric (sizes 4-12) or 1 yard fabric (sizes 14-22) (waistband)
1 1/2 yards 3/8” elastic

BUTTON SKIRT
2 1/4 yards fabric
1 1/2 yards 3/8” elastic
7-9 5/8” buttons

Purchase an additional 2 3/4 yards fabric (double circle skirt)
Suitable Fabrics
We used cotton, (Michael Miller fabrics-Dandy Damask, Free Spirit fabric-Freshcut) linen (Robert Kaufman fabrics) and wool for our models. Cotton voile (Robert Kaufman fabrics) was used for the double circle skirt. Corduroy, linen, rayon and soft flowing fabrics would work as well.
