Summer time is all about the quintessential cold drink. A balance of sweet and tart with ingredients that are flavorful and refreshing makes THIS one of our all time favorite drinks. Tweak this recipe to your liking if you wish; We’ve found that a good Mojito isn’t about the fancy additives but rather, fresh mint and a lil’ elbow grease!

For a single serving (give or take depending on how strong you like it) you’ll need:
-
1/4 cup sugar dissolved into 1/2 cup water (Microwave or boil to dissolve the granules)
-
a good handful of fresh mint
-
the juice of 1 large lime or 2 small ones
-
a bottle of San Pellegrino or favorite bubbly soda/water
-
A glass FULL of ice cubes

So of course, if you have fresh mint in your garden…go ahead and pick a good handful. We use about 3- 3″ sprigs for 1 glass.

Wash and juice your lime! Rolling your lime on the counter back and forth firmly will help prepare it to release more juice. This where that elbow grease comes in handy. Be sure to get every last drop!
Combine the juice of your lime, your sugar/water syrup and pour into glass of ice. Top the glass with San Pellegrino. Crush or muddle the sprigs of mint into your drink and voila!

Mmmm a thirst quenching delight. Throw that recipe in your back pocket for all your summer occasions. Enjoy!
